SHARE TO SPREAD HOPE FOR RELIEF

It’s time to change the conversation about pelvic pain and endometriosis.

It’s time to stop dismissing those who suffer and start providing them with evidence-based tools and solutions. During the month of March, we set out to create a new conversation: a conversation that used scientific research, expert guidance, and real recovery stories to empower and inspire.

We were joined by Pelvic Pain Expert and Curable Scientific Advisory Board Member Evelyn Hecht, who answered the toughest questions about how to take power back from pelvic pain. We also heard from Lowri about her journey to gaining power over vulvodynia, endometriosis and IBS.

Read on to find these interviews and to learn more about chronic pelvic pain, the many forms it can take, and the techniques people are using to find relief.

Overview

Chronic pelvic pain is described as pain in the pelvic area lasting longer than 6 months. While there can be many different physical causes, including conditions like endometriosis, irritable bowl syndrome, vulvodynia or musculoskeletal problems, we've also seen that the brain plays a role in the pain. This means that the symptoms are also typically a combination of both physical and psychological.

Hope for Healing from Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

When it comes to pelvic floor dysfunction, Evelyn Hecht has seen it all in her 20+ years of experience: pain with sex, vulvodynia, interstitial cystitis, urinary frequency, pain associated with endometriosis, pudendal neuralgia, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, post-surgical symptoms, and more. Throughout her career, she has found that the journey OUT of pain is just as unique and individual as the journey INTO pain. That's why she treats her patients with a more holistic approach, looking beyond the diagnosis to help them connect their symptoms with life experiences, thought patterns, learned nervous system habits, and more.

Check out the interview with Evelyn as she discusses the tips, strategies, and ideas that have helped thousands heal from pelvic floor dysfunctions.

Testimonials

The experience pelvic pain sufferers are having with the Curable program...

A MUST FOR CHRONIC PAIN SUFFERERS
"I’ve been dealing with chronic pelvic pain for 15 years. 15 surgeries, accupuncture, homeopathy, chiropractic, physical therapy, too many drugs to count ... nothing helped. I’ve literally spent years in bed; lost my career, family, friends... And THIS has worked. I’ve reduced medications by 30% in less than a month & for the first time have hope of regaining a life. Cannot say enough for this philosophy and practical help offered by this site."

IMPROVEMENTS IN A SHORT TIME
"The Curable app has helped me so much already in the short time that I have used it! I suffer with chronic pelvic pain from endometriosis. The writing exercises, guided meditations, and education on pain have helped me manage my pain in a way that I have been unable to previously. I am a psychotherapist and have been recommending this app to my clients as an adjunct to treatment with me. Highly recommend this app."

IT'S GENUINELY BEEN LIFE-CHANGING FOR ME.
"I started Curable to help with digestive problems and pain as a result of surgery for endometriosis a few years back. I also had vulvodynia and vaginismus, but these weren't something I was trying to fix with Curable. I assumed that's just how I was. To my total surprise, that's been what's responded best to Curable so far (started in August) even though I didn't focus on them. Some of the writing exercises blew my world wide open and must have been at the root of my sexual/intimacy problems. My partner and I are now sexually active after four years without. Give the app a go, really invest in it, and I'm sure you'll have the same success. It's genuinely been life changing for me. Hoping that the other issues will get better next."

I'M SO EXCITED TO THINK THAT I'LL HAVE MY LIFE BACK.
"So here goes, I found Dr Starnos book about three or four months ago, and about four weeks ago joined Curable. The last 7 years I have had chronic debilitating (read lay in the floor and moan in agony) pelvic "discomfort", and every test found nothing. I have a neuro-stimulator implanted in my spine to help.

Three weeks into Curable and no change. Then WHAM! One of the sensory/mindfulness exercises changed everything! I've beat two onslaughts of "discomfort" in two days, and am starting the process of titrating down! I have literally not needed my meds but only take them to prevent withdrawal. I have not used my simulator in three weeks.

I'm so excited to think that I'll have my life back. I know I've got more work to do, but I'm on my way.

So if you think it's not working, just keep going, it will! Thank you Curable!"
